Hitting Approach

3 Rules to Success
1.  COMPETE
2.  HIT THE BALL HARD
3.  HELP YOUR TEAM WIN

"Play for the name on the front of your jersey, not the back of it."

We want all of our hitters to be prepared mentally going into each at bat.  Many hitters do not realize that during the average 150 minute baseball game that they will only get about 3 to 4 at bats that last at most 2 minutes each.  So out of the 150 minutes you get do something you love for around 6 to 8 minutes.  You need to be prepared for those 2 minute battles by using your eyes and ears during the game.  Use your eyes to watch the pitcher in the bullpen, between innings, and during each of your teammates at bats.  Study him and see what his tendencies are... what does he go to when he is ahead.. what does he use to get people out...  All of that knowledge is power for you to use during your 2 minute battle.  Remember that PREPARATION = CONFIDENCE
